Sleep/CPAP Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep/CPAP Technician to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our Respiratory Service, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients suffering from sleep disorders.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in sleep diagnostics and CPAP management.
As a Sleep/CPAP Technician, you will be responsible for conducting sleep diagnostics, setting up new patients with domiciliary sleep studies, and downloading data. You will also be involved in the management of CPAP equipment, ensuring excellent infection control procedures.

Main Duties- Conduct sleep diagnostics and CPAP clinics at both Lister and Hertford County Hospitals
- Manage all equipment involved in the clinics, ensuring excellent infection control procedures
- Work collaboratively with the sleep specialists to support adults suffering from potential sleep disorders
- Set up new patients with domiciliary sleep studies, download data, and manage CPAP equipment
- Review adult outpatients suffering from obstructive sleep apnea who currently use CPAP, assess and monitor progress, and evaluate interventions
- Maintain and update the sleep database in conjunction with other members of the team
- Participate in research projects
