About the Role

In the capacity of a Bid Manager within the Ridge London office, you will oversee the Bid Team and be accountable for leveraging business prospects by adeptly managing the preparation, execution, and follow-up of bids, tenders, and proposals. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, crafting persuasive content, and spearheading submissions to secure new business. The Bid Manager fosters growth, innovation, and client satisfaction through strategic bid management and teamwork with internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Bid Team in the Ridge London Office
  • Oversee the complete bid process from initiation to submission
  • Manage complex, multidisciplinary bids
  • Establish internal budgets for each bid and report on actual expenditures
  • Develop bid briefing documents for all stakeholders outlining client requirements, project specifics, key deliverables, and timelines
  • Coordinate the assembled bid teams and contributions from key stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to milestones and deadlines within the bid process, including management of action logs and deliverables
  • Organize relevant meetings with appropriate parties to ensure compliance with deadlines
  • Review bid documents prior to submission to guarantee alignment with client specifications and internal quality assurance processes
  • Gather feedback on submitted bids and integrate lessons learned into future submissions
  • Utilize materials to promote the Ridge brand and illustrate value addition for clients
  • Assist in refining and enhancing the bid management process within Ridge and challenge existing methodologies
  • Maintain responsibility for client communication throughout the tender process alongside the Partner lead, ensuring all post-tender requirements are addressed efficiently and promptly
  • Support Partner leads in managing existing frameworks and identifying new opportunities
  • Aid in the preparation and delivery of presentations to clients as necessary
  • Maintain a tracker of bid pipeline and submissions
  • Report on bid KPIs and success metrics
  • Manage London office social media and collaborate with the central Marketing team
  • Create internal presentations
  • Maintain and update event trackers
  • Attend management meetings within the London office

Required Experience and Skills

  • Proven and effective manager, capable of leading and inspiring a team

  • Experienced in preparing and submitting public sector bids within the construction or professional services sectors
  • Demonstrates effective bid writing skills, even if not directly writing the bid documentation
  • Familiarity with AI tools
