Key Responsibilities:
  • Process customs declarations using CNS, Destin8, and Descartes software, with a working knowledge of CDS.
  • Manage conflicting priorities and deadlines to ensure seamless airfreight operations.
  • Investigate and plan the most efficient routes for shipments, considering factors like costs, transit times, and security.
  • Negotiate transportation rates to maximize service and profitability.
  • Obtain, check, and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements.
  • Ensure trade compliance with international regulations and fiscal regimes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers, providing regular updates and resolving queries.
  • Act as a broker in customs negotiations worldwide to guide freight through complex procedures.
Requirements:
  • Essential: Good working knowledge of the freight forwarding industry, methodical thinking, and strong analytical skills.
  • Essential: Motivated, resourceful, and able to organize workload and balance competing demands.
  • Desirable: Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
