**A&P Tyne - Stores Person**

We have a great role for someone who knows stores to look after our inventory and materials for our marine and fabrication teams based on the Tyne.

It's a crucial role making sure that materials and supplies are available for projects when they are needed.

We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, great organisational skills, and the ability to work at a fast-pace.

**So, what will you do?**
- Responsible for stock, you'll receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies recording them in the systems including use of MOD / commercial store system, QA stamping, colour coding & certificates
- You'll keep an eye on stock levels and re order as needed
- When it comes to material handling, you'll safely store, prepare and issue and then coordinate getting them safely to where they are needed. This includes stock, PPE and consumables as well as issue and return of all hand tools
- You'll manage the loading and unloading of materials, safely at the same time maintaining records of all transactions and preparing documentation for audits and inspections
- We work in a culture of quality consciousness so you'll be paying close attention to the detail of your work which will be concisely audited so your skill will be recognised
- Work may be done outdoors involving exposure to varying weather conditions and potentially noisy areas
- You'll be involved in physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and operating machinery
- Our facility is spread over a large area so there will be times when you need to drive across the site
- Drop offs and collections across the UK don't happen every day, but are possible
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines

**And what are we looking for?**
- Experience in a similar role would be great but if you don't have it we can teach you
- IT competency is needed as we use inventory management software and MS Office Suite
- You need to be organised, responsible and able to safely multi task
- Commitment enthusiasm and good communication skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate material handling equipment like fork lift trucks
- A full UK driving licence to be used for work purposes is essential
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
