About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research and Innovation Support Officer to join our team at the Welsh Ambulance NHS Trust. As a key member of our Research and Development department, you will play a vital role in supporting the management of research and innovation projects and trials within the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and contribute to the management of research and innovation projects and trials, ensuring high standards of governance and compliance.
  • Provide administrative support to the Research and Development department, including maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, responding to enquiries and providing information on research and innovation projects and trials.
  • Support the transition of research projects from development to approval and delivery.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience of research project management, including coordination and administration.
  • Knowledge of research governance frameworks and NHS R&D approval processes.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate sensitive information to stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 Foundation.
  • Knowledge of research funding and clinical trial methodology.
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate and understanding of the principles of GCP as defined by Welsh Government.
  • Education to Masters level in a health or social science discipline or equivalent experience.
