About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research and Innovation Support Officer to join our team at the Welsh Ambulance NHS Trust. As a key member of our Research and Development department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management of research projects and trials within the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and contribute to the management of research projects and trials, ensuring compliance with research governance frameworks and NHS R&D approval processes.
  • Provide administrative support to the Research and Development department, including maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Act as a point of contact for enquiries related to research and innovation within the Trust.
  • Support the transition of research projects from development to approval and delivery.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of research project management and coordination.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Trust's organization, functions, and policies.
  • Knowledge of research governance frameworks and NHS R&D approval processes.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Project management qualification such as PRINCE2 Foundation.
  • Understanding of research funding and clinical trial methodology.
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate.
  • Education to Masters level in a health or social science discipline.
