We are assisting our client in establishing a new position as a Security Analyst, a hybrid opportunity. In this role, you will offer expertise on the implementation and management of fundamental physical, procedural, and technical security measures. This is a pioneering position aimed at evaluating security protocols and recommending best practices for future improvements.

Key Responsibilities of the Security Analyst

  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with information security, data retention, and cybersecurity policies across all Information Systems and Services, including documenting evidence of compliance and identifying any gaps.
  • Assist in compliance evaluations and contribute to the assessment of configuration and security practices to meet legal and regulatory standards.
  • Identify potential threats to the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and compliance of information systems. Perform risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and business impact analyses of applications and IT installations, recommending actions to management. This includes organizing penetration tests and following up on the outcomes.
  • Coordinate investigations into suspected security breaches and manage the resolution of incidents according to established protocols, utilizing forensic methods when necessary. Provide reports on findings and recommendations for improvements.
  • Clarify the purpose of and offer guidance on the application and management of basic physical, procedural, and technical security controls.
  • Contribute to the security aspects of system architecture.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Team and other relevant stakeholders, including working with project teams on the rollout of new Information Systems and Services.
  • Lead the preparation of Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) documents for review.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant academic or professional credentials in IT or Cybersecurity.
  • Experience in managing risks associated with the use, storage, and transmission of data and information systems.
  • Ability to deliver management, technical, and administrative services to implement security controls and strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in information gathering.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Awareness of organizational dynamics.
  • Understanding of cross-functional and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with legislation, risk management, network gathering techniques, national/international standards, operational/service architectures, and cloud architectures.
  • Knowledge of application systems and IT auditing.
