About the Role

Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a rich history of innovation. We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Engineer to drive our success in the Central Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their unique challenges and collaborating to create bespoke solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth research within the region to uncover new sales leads, particularly for electric rotating machinery maintenance, including generators, motors, and transformers.
  • Provide support and guidance to customers, showcasing Sulzer's innovative products and services to address complex engineering problems.
  • Pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in technical sales with a deep understanding of the sales process.
  • Extensive knowledge of rotating machinery, including pumps, gearboxes, compressors, motors, generators, transformers, etc.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A self-motivated, results-driven approach with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Residence within the Central Midlands is preferred, with ideal locations including Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, and nearby areas.
  • A Full UK Driver's Licence and willingness to travel within your assigned area.
