Job Description

Service Desk Manager (Windows Azure)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Service Desk Manager to lead our Windows Azure technical support team. As a Service Desk Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of eight first to third line support engineers and the Lead Service Desk Engineer, who are responsible for supporting all internal IT services, system processes, and applications (Windows based).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to enable them to support the company services and provide excellent customer service to the highest standard.
  • Prioritise the team workload to ensure time-sensitive issues are dealt with efficiently.
  • Manage the team's engagement with third-party vendors and support desks.
  • Train and coach the Service Desk Team Lead.
  • Maintain and develop tools and technologies used by the team.
  • Remain hands-on 50% of the time as an escalation point for the team and managing projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience of leading a Service Desk and technical support teams in Windows environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Office 365, and Azure.
  • Strong workload prioritisation skills.
  • Solid grasp of cyber security principles or have worked in a heavily regulated environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
