Role Overview

As a Director of Culinary Operations, your primary focus will be to collaborate closely with your teams to foster strong working relationships and collectively deliver exceptional customer service.

In addition to possessing outstanding presentation, organizational, and communication skills, you will demonstrate a genuine passion for food and service, coupled with a wealth of enthusiasm.

  • Work alongside the kitchen team to design well-balanced and nutritious menus that accommodate various dietary needs and preferences.
  • Oversee and manage the catering budget, ensuring efficient operations while upholding quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with school administrators and faculty.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and inspire catering personnel.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control measures.
  • Identify avenues for growth, innovation, and enhancement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a Director of Culinary Operations or Deputy Director in a high-volume, quality-driven environment.
  • Proven track record in managing, training, and supporting a team throughout your career.
  • Financially savvy, with strong analytical skills to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial success.
  • Exceptional coaching, delegation, and influencing abilities.
  • Capacity to prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic, multifaceted, creative environment while thriving under pressure.
  • Meticulous organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Empathetic, clear, and highly effective verbal and written communication.
