Research Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) is seeking a highly skilled Research Manager to support the monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities of its high-profile portfolio of clinical and applied health research infrastructure funding schemes.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Infrastructure team and the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team to develop and implement strategies and solutions to embed new approaches to award-level data monitoring and reporting across the research infrastructure portfolio.
The role involves analyzing reporting outputs, supporting the annual reporting process, and reviewing and implementing new approaches to annual reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of research impact, data analysis, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Annual Reporting Process: Assist in the management of the annual reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of reports.
- Analyze Reporting Outputs: Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis for projects across the infrastructure portfolio, providing insights to inform decision-making.
- Review and Implement New Approaches: Collaborate with the team to review and implement new approaches to annual reporting, ensuring alignment with NIHR's goals and objectives.
- Masters or PhD in Biomedical or Health Sciences Research: A strong academic background in a relevant field is essential.
- Understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation: Experience in monitoring and evaluating research programs, with a focus on data analysis and reporting.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage stakeholders, including internal and external partners, to achieve project goals.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Current Knowledge of the UK's Health and Care Research Landscape: Familiarity with the UK's health and care research landscape, including current policies and initiatives.
- Experience in Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing stakeholders across multiple organizations, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships.
