Research Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation, NIHR Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Manager to support the monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities of our high-profile research infrastructure funding schemes. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to embed new approaches to data monitoring and reporting across our research portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Annual Reporting Process: Support the management of the annual reporting process, including the maintenance of forms and guidance notes, organization of briefing workshops for award holders, and collation of annual reports. Review and provide feedback on annual reports to ensure progress against goals, governance, and management of awards.
- Review and Implementation of New Approaches: Manage and support elements of the ongoing review of current processes and the development of a 'fit-for-purpose' approach to annual reporting. Identify and implement a new digital solution for annual reporting.
- Data Analysis: Support the quantitative and qualitative data analysis for projects across the infrastructure portfolio, including strategic reviews. Produce visual representations of progress using data collected and collated for reporting purposes.
- Team Support: Provide flexible support to the team and line manager, taking a proactive approach to work tasks and 'mucking in' to support additional tasks during busy periods.
- A Master's or PhD degree in biomedical or health sciences research (or significant equivalent sector experience)
- A basic understanding of the processes involved in monitoring funding awards and evaluating programs
- Experience working in a research management environment, preferably within the NHS or HEIs
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work to challenging targets and deadlines
- Evidence of ability to write reports and analyze data, demonstrating excellent attention to detail
- A team player with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Current knowledge of the UK's health and care research and policy landscape
- Experience in research/grants management and/or monitoring and evaluation of research
- Experience in stakeholder management within and across multiple organizations
- Competitive salary: £39,200-41,400 PA
