Research Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation, NIHR Infrastructure

The LGC Group is seeking a highly skilled Research Manager to support the monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities of a high-profile National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) portfolio of clinical and applied health research infrastructure funding schemes.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the annual reporting process, including the maintenance of forms and guidance notes, organisation of briefing workshops for award holders, and collation of annual reports.
- Support the review and implementation of new approaches to annual reporting, including the identification and implementation of a new digital solution.
- Analyse reporting outputs, including quantitative and qualitative data analysis for projects across the infrastructure portfolio.
- Provide flexible support to the team and line manager, taking a flexible approach to work tasks and providing support on additional tasks during busy times.
- A Master's or PhD degree in biomedical or health sciences research (or significant equivalent sector experience).
- A basic understanding of the processes involved in monitoring funding awards and evaluating programmes.
- Some experience of working in a research management environment, including clinical trial/study coordination or research grants management.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and work to challenging targets and deadlines.
- Evidence of ability to write reports and analyse data, demonstrating excellent attention to detail.
- A team player with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Current knowledge of the UK's health and care research and policy landscape.
- Experience in research/grants management and/or monitoring and evaluation of research.
- Experience in stakeholder management within and across multiple organisations.

This role is based at the NIHR Coordinating Centre (NIHR CC), which manages a number of research funding programmes and infrastructure schemes. It is based in the Twickenham office, which is hosted by LGC Ltd.
