About the Role

Computershare, a global leader in financial administration, is seeking a highly motivated IT Service Desk Apprentice to join their team in Edinburgh. As a key member of the global technology hub, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests via various channels, including support tickets and live chat.
  • Provide first-contact resolution through troubleshooting and technical expertise.
  • Contribute to the team's continuous service improvement objectives by identifying repeat incidents and suggesting process enhancements.
  • Manage user access requests, software installations, and local hardware requests.
  • Ensure that all procedures and documentation are up-to-date and communicated to the team.
Requirements
  • Professional and courteous communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and work in a technical environment.
  • Capacity to follow established processes and procedures and suggest improvements.
  • Understanding of Microsoft products.

This vocational apprenticeship comprehensively supports your specific job role with this particular employer. Starting with insights into your current potential, they will plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training, and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They will also discuss the qualifications you gain and how they align with your day-to-day role.

On completion, you will receive a nationally recognized qualification at SCQF Level 8, in addition to the valuable work experience you have gained.
