Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Engineer Apprentice to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our clients, working closely with our help desk team to resolve IT requests and issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and assistance to clients, resolving IT requests and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the help desk team to prioritize and resolve IT requests, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Lead on small networking and connectivity projects, demonstrating the ability to lead on larger deployments over time.
  • Support requests are logged accurately, prioritized with service level agreements.
  • Work with end-users, their departments, and management teams to resolve IT-related issues and provide technical guidance.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Organized and proactive, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Good timekeeping and a reliable attendance record.
Benefits

Future Prospects

A full-time role on completion of apprenticeship, with the option of progression within the wider IT team.

They ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and pass your assessments, and can provide one-to-one support.

They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day-to-day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognized qualification at SCQF Level 8.
