Role Description

The PCP Programmes have established a new data platform and operational analytics capability for HMRC, supported by an innovative DevOps model. The Engagement team will be responsible for:

  • Co-creating value and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Navigating the complexities of change management.
  • Aligning IT capabilities with strategic business objectives.
  • Building robust partnerships between HMRC business units and the Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO).
  • Enhancing collaboration to drive continuous improvement of the Minerva platform and its offerings.
  • Facilitating change management to ensure seamless implementation of service, process, or technology changes.
  • Improving data citizen and customer satisfaction by understanding their needs and expectations.
  • Identifying collaborative opportunities that generate additional value.

  • Strategic alignment of IT strategies with business goals.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective demand management and prioritization of business needs.
  • Ability to measure and communicate the value of IT investments.
  • Expertise in leading and supporting organizational change initiatives.
  • Collaboration skills to ensure IT projects deliver business value.
  • Strong communication abilities to facilitate interaction between business and IT.
  • Innovation in identifying and driving IT-enabled advancements.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
  • Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Expertise in change management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT service management (ITIL) at level 4.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience in data analytics.

By effectively executing this role, the Engagement Lead will play a crucial part in HMRC's success by optimizing IT resource utilization and driving business value.
