We are seeking an experienced Shop Manager to lead our team at the British Red Cross Furniture Shop. As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for providing a brilliant shopping experience for our customers, while also achieving financial targets and managing a team of staff and volunteers.

A Day in the Life of a Shop Manager

  • Leading a Team: You will be responsible for leading a team that provides a brilliant shopping experience for our customers.
  • Shop Floor Management: You will work on the shop floor, coordinating activity and ensuring that the shop is running smoothly.
  • Visual Merchandising: You will be responsible for designing the perfect layout and environment that helps connect our customers to our cause.
  • Financial Management: You will be responsible for achieving financial targets and managing the shop's finances.
  • Staff Management: You will be responsible for inducting, training, and managing new staff and volunteers.
  • Representing the British Red Cross: You will represent the British Red Cross to a high standard and embody our core values.

Requirements

  • Retail Experience: You will need to have retail experience at supervisory level, with a proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Management Skills: You will need to have proven management skills, with the ability to develop and inspire a team.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: You will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to work to targets and use your initiative to achieve fantastic results.
  • IT Skills: You will need to have proven IT skills, with the ability to use a PC and other technology to manage the shop.
  • Passion for the Cause: You will need to have a passion for the British Red Cross cause and be able to promote the shop in your community as the charity retailer of choice.
