Your Role
We are currently seeking a Principal Wastewater Network Modeller to enhance our team in Leeds. This position is pivotal in continuing the exceptional work of our talented professionals.

You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team comprising 110 experts from Stantec, spread across 13 UK offices and a team in Pune, alongside our clients and consultant/contractor partners, to deliver projects throughout the UK and Ireland.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage with an innovative group of modellers, contributing to long-term frameworks and industry-leading projects.


Candidate Profile
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field, and hold membership in a relevant professional institution, such as ICE or CIWEM. Previous experience in leading projects within an urban drainage context is essential. Successful applicants will showcase technical expertise across a broad spectrum of urban drainage modelling tasks.

Your responsibilities will include providing guidance, training, and promoting staff development and well-being within the discipline. You will participate in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of urban drainage projects, ensuring delivery excellence, technical governance, and adherence to best practices.

Exceptional communication skills are required, demonstrated through report writing, presentation development and delivery (both internal and external), and establishing industry contacts.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and developing team members, with the ability to integrate seamlessly into a team and provide technical leadership in an urban drainage setting, all while maintaining a strong client service focus.
