Your Role
We are currently looking for a Principal Wastewater Network Modeller to enhance our team in Leeds. You will be part of a multidisciplinary group consisting of 110 professionals from Stantec, spanning 13 offices in the UK and a team in Pune, collaborating with clients and consultant/contractor partners to deliver projects across the UK and Ireland.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a pioneering team of modellers on a long-term framework while contributing to industry-leading projects.
Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should possess a degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field, and be a member of a relevant professional institution such as ICE or CIWEM. You will have prior experience in leading projects within an urban drainage context. Successful candidates will showcase technical expertise across a broad spectrum of urban drainage modelling tasks.
Your responsibilities will include providing guidance, training, and fostering staff development and well-being within the discipline. You will also participate in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of urban drainage projects, ensuring excellence in delivery, technical governance, and adherence to best practices.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be involved in report writing, developing and delivering presentations (both internal and external), and networking within the industry.
Furthermore, you should have experience in managing and developing personnel, with the ability to integrate seamlessly into a team and provide technical leadership in an urban drainage environment, maintaining a strong client service focus.
