Contract Overview:

The Engineering Manager (EC&I) will be tasked with overseeing and directing the design, development, and execution of control, electrical, and instrumentation systems for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all engineering operations adhere to applicable standards, regulations, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the EC&I engineering team, providing expert technical guidance and support.
  • Supervise the design and execution of control systems, power systems, and instrumentation systems.
  • Guarantee that all engineering activities meet industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to outline project scopes, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and reviews of engineering designs and documentation.
  • Offer technical expertise and problem-solving assistance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure the timely completion of engineering tasks within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to project specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and uphold engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders.
  • Engage in project planning, risk management, and change control processes.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the engineering team and across other project teams.


Qualifications:

  • Chartered Engineer status is essential.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in EC&I engineering, preferably within the relevant industry sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, control systems, and instrumentation systems.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong analytical skills and the capacity to make sound engineering decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
