Contract Overview:

The Engineering Manager (EC&I) will play a pivotal role in supervising and directing the design, development, and execution of control, electrical, and instrumentation systems for diverse projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all engineering activities adhere to applicable standards, regulations, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the EC&I engineering team, offering technical direction and support.
  • Oversee the design and execution of control systems, power systems, and instrumentation systems.
  • Guarantee compliance of all engineering activities with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to establish project scopes, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews and evaluations of engineering designs and documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise and problem-solving assistance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure timely completion of engineering tasks within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to project specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and uphold engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders.
  • Engage in project planning, risk management, and change control processes.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the engineering team and across other project teams.


Qualifications:

  • Chartered Engineer status is essential.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in EC&I engineering, ideally within the relevant industry sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, control systems, and instrumentation systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong analytical skills and the capability to make informed engineering decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
