Recra Consulting is collaborating with a reputable fabrication and sheet metal enterprise that produces a diverse array of products, specializing in various welding and fabrication processes. Our client is seeking to enhance their team with a Sales Engineering Estimator.

Role Overview:
The Sales Engineering Estimator will possess a solid grasp of engineering principles and fabrication techniques, with the capability to interpret and work with intricate engineering schematics. A background in sales and estimation within a subcontract manufacturing setting is essential, particularly in areas such as laser cutting, bending, welding, and fabrication. Strong numerical and literacy skills are required, along with proficiency in basic computer applications. Familiarity with an MRP/ERP system would be beneficial. Comprehensive training will be provided on existing systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing cost projections and estimates for new projects.
  • Enhancing and maintaining existing customer contracts and relationships while also pursuing new opportunities.
  • Complying with company standards and protocols when analyzing and delivering estimates; focusing on maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction while minimizing potential risks.
  • Collaborating closely with management to foster development, innovation, and creativity on client projects.
  • Maintaining thorough records of all estimation documentation, including site evaluations and contract stipulations; promptly updating any existing contracts upon agreement of new terms.
  • Preparing and submitting financial documentation as necessary.
  • Managing multiple proposals and estimates simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery to clients.
  • Coordinating with other departments to support business development and continuously innovate profitable solutions, including participation in production meetings as needed.
  • Participating in weekly sales meetings with the sales manager to establish achievable targets and objectives.
  • Visiting clients as necessary to generate new business and maintain relationships.
The ideal candidate will receive comprehensive product training and ongoing support, joining a dynamic sales team with a proven history of achieving and surpassing targets.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 7:15 AM to 4:30 PM
Friday 7:15 AM to 12:15 PM
