Metalis Engineering are currently working alongside a specialist manufacturing company based in Coventry who are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their friendly and growing team.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparing accurate cost plans and pricing - Ensuring competitiveness and profitability
  • Sourcing and obtaining quotations as appropriate and negotiating best possible price
  • Analysing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
  • Processing incoming and outgoing tenders, reviewing information received, and ensuring all internal forms are completed and processed to a consistently high standard
  • Monitoring and reviewing cost estimates throughout the project life cycle to ensure budgetary control
  • Liaising with Sales Team, Department Manager, production team and occasionally client contact points as necessary to understand their needs to agree scope of work
  • Preparing a design, costing and accurate estimates to the Sales Team / Commercial and Technical Director


Shifts & Salary:

  • 35,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Days, Monday - Friday
  • Permanent Opportunity

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator with a specialisation in joinery and or construction
  • Strong understanding of joinery / construction methods, materials, and industry standards
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Excel and estimating software
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
