About the Role

The Property and Facilities Department at City, University of London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join their team. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for managing a range of in-house and outsourced services, including Portering, Environmental Services, Pest Control, Catering, Customer Service, Grounds Maintenance, and Service Desk.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department, including day-to-day management, contract management, and line management of a team of Assistant Facilities Managers. You will also be responsible for conducting risk assessments and spot checks to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and the University's own policies.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of facilities management, with senior managerial duties and experience of delivering a first-class facilities service in a complex customer-focused environment. You will also have technical knowledge of Contract Management, experience in managing multiple large service contracts, and experience of managing large-scale budgets.
