About the Role

We are seeking an Adult Nurse to join our team as a Midwife in Training, as part of our MSc Midwifery programme. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to transition into a midwifery career, working closely with women and birthing people throughout the preconception, antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide seamless care and interventions in partnership with women and other care providers during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period.
  • Care for and monitor women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal period, offering evidence-based advice and support on baby and self-care.
  • Communicate effectively with women and birthing people and their families throughout the preconception, antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal stages.

Requirements

  • Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse (Adult) first level status.
  • First Degree at or above.
  • Evidence of qualification to undertake the supervision, teaching, and assessing of students.
