The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe management of the Birthing Centre, ensuring high clinical standards and midwifery care standards are maintained.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide senior midwife unit management cover
  • Exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Midwives Rules and Standards
  • Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a consistent leadership style that engages, enables and empowers others, uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement, and facilitates team working and collaboration.
