Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced healthcare professional to join the Northumbria Health & Care Academy team as Senior Clinical Lecturer. The post holder will support the delivery of the Enhanced Clinical Practice Apprenticeship Programme, working in partnership with the University of Sunderland.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering learning and teaching programmes in academic and clinical settings, enhancing the reputation of the Northumbria Health and Care Academy and University of Sunderland as a centre of excellence. They will also role model compassionate and inclusive leadership, shaping the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust.
About the Role
The post holder will work with the Programme Lead to manage the delivery, development, and provision of the Enhanced Clinical Practice apprenticeship programme. This will involve delivering modules on clinical skills, enhanced management, and leadership, as well as developing learning and teaching related to evidence-based nursing and research theory.
Key Requirements
- 1st Level Registered Nurse with effective NMC registration/ Allied health professional with effective HPCP registration /1st Level Registered Midwife with effective NMC registration
- Postgraduate qualification in a related subject area (Masters study)
- Higher Education teaching qualification (PGCE)
- Demonstrable experience of teaching and learning in the field of nursing
- Proven experience of working with NMC approved programmes in academic and/or practice setting
