We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Transport Assistant to join our team at Secure Care UK. As a key member of our patient transport service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of vulnerable service users.
Main Responsibilities- Provide a professional and caring service for all patients whilst in our care, ensuring patient safety remains paramount.
- Support and transport vulnerable service users as part of a team.
- Support the care of patients during assessments in line with the Mental Health Act.
- Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed according to current policies and procedures.
- Attend the office within one hour during on-call shifts.
- Use Company vehicles and equipment safely and respectfully.
- Administer first aid and provide social care in non-emergency situations.
- Implement statutory regulations and organisational policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff development programmes and regular reviews.
- Full UK manual driving license and 1 year minimum driving experience.
- Experience working in the care sector (desirable).

What We Offer- Competitive salary: £25,800-£26,000 per year (full-time) or £ days, nights, and weekends (enhanced pay for work at a Mental Health place of safety and bed watch activities).

We offer flexible and full-time working patterns, including on-call shifts between 4:30am-5:30pm and 7pm-7am, as well as a 4 on 4 off shift pattern alternating between days and nights.
