Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Oxfordshire

We are working with an Ofsted 'Good' school in Chacombe, Oxfordshire, who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a student with Autism and Epilepsy in Reception.

About the School

This Christian school is part of a multi-academy trust and strives to develop and maintain partnerships that benefit learning and wider opportunities for the children. The school regularly visits their parish church for services and is supported by members of the church.

About the Role

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in the UK. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to the needs of the child and have the academic ability and personality to inspire, engage, and progress all students from different backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a student with Autism and Epilepsy in Reception
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide one-to-one support to the student, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the student's needs are met
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in the UK
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the child
  • Academic ability and personality to inspire, engage, and progress all students from different backgrounds
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 11:30am-3:30pm
