Role Responsibilities:

The Facilities Support Assistant will be responsible for performing both internal and external maintenance tasks related to the building, equipment, and grounds.

Key Duties Include:

  • Collaborating with and assisting volunteers within the team.
  • Engaging with and guiding contractors visiting the site.
  • Conducting maintenance duties as required, including basic electrical work, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and door adjustments.
  • Ensuring workspaces are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Performing periodic inspections and updates to the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) log.
  • Managing deliveries and safely disposing of domestic and clinical waste in accordance with local health and safety regulations.
  • Occasionally driving a company vehicle for local errands.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • No formal qualifications are necessary.

Desirable:

  • PAT certification or willingness to undergo training.
  • A valid driving license.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Competence in following policies and procedures.
  • Basic IT and numeracy skills.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety practices, including COSHH regulations.
