Brainkind is a charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals affected by brain injuries across the UK. Our facilities, including assessment centers and rehabilitation units, employ specialized neurorehabilitation techniques to assist individuals in regaining lost skills. We cater to a diverse range of brain injuries resulting from various causes, including trauma and illness, fostering recovery and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
The Facilities Support Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the premises, equipment, and surrounding areas. This role involves:
- Conducting routine maintenance tasks, including basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization within workspaces.
- Overseeing the safe disposal of waste and managing deliveries.
- Engaging with contractors and volunteers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Documenting maintenance activities and conducting periodic inspections.
Qualifications:
No formal qualifications are necessary for this position; however, the following are desirable:
- Willingness to obtain a PAT certificate.
- A valid driving license.
- Mini Bus driving training certificate or willingness to undergo training if required.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong teamwork abilities and effective communication skills.
- Basic IT and numeracy skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
- Experience in maintenance tasks and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
