Main Responsibilities
  1. Facilities Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of our buildings, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards and that all statutory requirements are met.
  2. Customer Service: Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, providing a high level of customer satisfaction and ensuring that their needs are met.
  3. Coordinating Services: Coordinate the delivery of services and activities within our buildings, ensuring that all services are delivered to the highest standards and that all statutory requirements are met.
  4. Quality Standards: Implement and monitor the Estates Services Quality standards, ensuring that all work procedures are adhered to and that customer needs are met.
  5. Health and Safety: Participate in inter-departmental project meetings and take an active part in regular Health & Safety and service level agreement meetings.
  6. Staff Management: Manage the Facilities Supervisors & Cleaners, including the organisation of work schedules, staff development meetings and appraisals.
  7. Recruitment and Training: Conduct/participate in interview, selection and induction processes, ensuring appropriate recruitment, selection, induction, management and development of staff.
  8. Compliance: Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation, including hazard identification and auditing and routine testing/checking of fire safety points/alarms.
  9. Service Improvement: Utilise technology to manage service information and activity, targeting resources based on identified need and leading on service improvement projects.
  10. Visual Audits: Undertake regular visual, safety & appearance audits of buildings and their surrounding environment, taking ownership for service delivery in the building or work area.
  11. Cover and Support: Work collaboratively with other Facilities Managers and cover as required to ensure full services are delivered across the Estate.
  12. Event Management: Oversee event booking and delivery in a Building, ensuring compliance with booking procedures, Health & Safety prior and during the event.
