Position: Premises Assistant at the Lancashire County Museum Service Headquarters in Preston.

About Our Organization:

The Conservation & Collections Team at Lancashire County Council plays a vital role in supporting the operation and advancement of museums throughout Lancashire. We provide specialized conservation, technical, design, and curatorial expertise, and we also engage in projects for museums and heritage organizations on a national scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Heritage Business Facilitator and the Heritage Premises Officer at the Museum Headquarters.
  • Ensure site security and assist with various duties including cleanliness, health and safety checks, contractor monitoring, routine maintenance, porterage, reception, and conference support.
  • Support the Conservation & Collection team in activities related to Lancashire's Heritage.

This role is permanent, requiring 29.6 hours per week (4 days), with a rota system to guarantee site coverage during all operational hours.

Salary: £22,737 - £23,114 pro rata - Pay award pending.
