Programme Overview

SSE's Engineering Graduate Programme is a structured and challenging development programme designed to qualify and train graduates to become professional engineers. The programme is accredited by the IET, ICE, and IMechE and offers a route to Professional Registration (Chartered or Incorporated Engineer).

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the business's capital investment plans by maximising value from operating assets.
  • Develop skills across different business areas and take individual responsibility for real results.
  • Travel to sites throughout the UK to gain practical exposure to certain business areas.

Requirements

  • MEng or minimum of a 2:2 BEng in a mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, or building services engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience of working in a team environment and setting individual targets.
  • Interest in the energy industry and alignment with SSE's core values.
  • Flexible approach to work locations and a genuine commitment to developing a career with SSE.
