Join Our Operations and Maintenance Team
We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to become a vital part of our Operations and Maintenance team. This role is essential for overseeing a variety of projects related to the repair, replacement, design, and installation of equipment and plant systems across multiple sectors, including Utility services, Transport, Food & Beverage, and Oil & Gas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact from the initial inquiry to the final acceptance of projects, engaging with clients to understand their specific needs and conducting necessary site assessments.
- Direct and manage the work of Trade Operatives and Apprentices, ensuring high standards of quality, productivity, and safety are maintained.
- Prepare and complete all necessary contract documentation.
- Oversee project quality deliverables and procedures, ensuring adherence to both internal and client quality systems.
- Contribute to the Project Change Management process, clearly understanding project scope and responsibilities to identify potential deviations and implement change control processes.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, including the preparation of tender specifications, quotations, and health and safety documentation reviews.
- Develop risk assessments and method statements.
- Create workpacks for site installation activities.
- Prepare Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans for projects where Principal Contractor responsibilities are applicable.
Qualifications:
- A degree, HND, or HNC in Engineering or a related field.
- A proven track record in Project Management, ideally with an Engineering or Supervisory background.
- Experience in the water sector is highly advantageous, although candidates from other specialized engineering fields will also be considered.
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials across various engineering disciplines, particularly Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering.
