Programme Lead

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Director to join our team at BAM Nuttall, a leading civil engineering contractor. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for delivering large-scale civil engineering projects across Scotland.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-profile projects, with a strong focus on delivering successful outcomes, maintaining high standards of professionalism, and promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight to project teams, ensuring successful project delivery and high standards of professionalism.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, project teams, and the wider community.
- Operational Management: Provide operational, strategic, and contractual direction for project teams, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective cost management.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Champion health, safety, and environmental initiatives, promoting a culture of excellence and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Quality Delivery: Drive quality delivery through effective planning, right-first-time delivery, and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Talent Development: Mentor and develop key staff, promoting their growth and development within the company.
- Client Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients, promoting repeat business and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Commercial Management: Establish and maintain effective cost management systems, ensuring financial control and reliable forecasting.
- Programme Management: Ensure realistic programmes are prepared, managed, monitored, reviewed, and updated according to project requirements.
- Qualifications: Degree or HND in Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience working as a Project Manager or Senior Agent within civil engineering contracting.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, with a strong track record of delivering successful projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Detailed working knowledge of the civil construction environment and forms of contract used.
