Job Title: Medical Education Department Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our Medical Education Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the quality of foundation training and trainee experience across NHS Highland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the foundation training experience
  • Collaborate with the Director of Medical Education and Associate DME team to achieve departmental goals
  • Lead a programme of work to improve the quality of foundation training and trainee experience
  • Work with the medical education team to develop and deliver training programmes
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Fully registered medical practitioner
  • Experience in medical education or a related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies
