Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Imaging Services Support Specialist to join our Radiology Departments at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of diagnostic imaging services.
The Imaging Services team operates within the Diagnostic and Clinical Support Services division, delivering essential imaging and therapeutic interventions across various specialties.
The successful candidate will participate in a structured rotation through multiple areas of the department, including MRI, CT, Plain Film, Ultrasound, and Antenatal Ultrasound. This position requires flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, to meet the needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves:
- Assisting with patient preparation for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Supporting Radiographers in positioning patients accurately for examinations.
- Aiding in interventional procedures and maintaining equipment readiness.
- Upholding a high standard of patient care, demonstrating empathy and effective communication with patients.
- Contributing to a collaborative team environment, adhering to Trust policies and protocols.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Basic computer proficiency.
- A good command of numeracy and literacy skills.
Desired Experience
Previous experience in a healthcare or support role is advantageous but not mandatory.
