About the Role

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiology Department Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Diagnostic and Clinical Support Services division, you will play a vital role in supporting the CT and MRI service within our hospital site and community diagnostics centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with all aspects of CT and MRI imaging, including preparing patients for examinations and helping to position patients for examinations.
  • Support all staff participating in the delivery of a safe and compassionate healthcare service.
  • Contribute to the provision of a high standard of care for patients and carry out some duties unaided, in accordance with Trust/Directorate policies.
  • Act as a role model to others in all aspects of work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Dedication, Integrity and Excellence.
Requirements
  • Evidence of basic computer skills.
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Previous experience of working within the healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of clinical terminology.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Effective role model, demonstrating NNUH's PRIDE values.
  • Demonstrates understanding and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Flexible: Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task and be supportive of change.
