About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiology Department Assistant to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic and Clinical Support Services division, you will play a vital role in supporting the CT and MRI service, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of a high-quality, safe, and compassionate healthcare service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with all aspects of CT and MRI imaging, including preparing patients for examinations and helping to position patients for examinations.
  • Support all staff participating in the delivery of a safe and compassionate healthcare service, including assisting with interventional procedures, biopsies, and drainages as required.
  • Contribute to the provision of a high standard of care for patients, carrying out some duties unaided, in accordance with Trust/Directorate policies, at the discretion of qualified staff.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learn, identifying own training needs, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of working within the healthcare sector, with a good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of clinical terminology and good communication skills.
  • Effective role model, demonstrating NNUH's PRIDE values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence.
  • Flexible, with the ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and be supportive of change.
