  • You will provide expert guidance to project teams regarding PMO and project controls processes, focusing on cost, schedule, change, risk, and reporting to achieve key objectives.
  • You will facilitate regular reporting and structured governance and performance meetings.
  • You will be accountable for developing and managing baselines (scope, time, cost, risk, assumptions) and monitoring delivery performance and changes.
  • You will contribute to quantitative analyses (cost and time).
  • You will work alongside the PMO director and/or project manager to identify actions, seize opportunities, and mitigate risks and issues.
  • You will coordinate activities to ensure compliance with Mace control center, client requirements, and applicable legislation.
  • You will manage a team of PMO and project controls professionals to deliver on assigned projects.
  • You will provide technical expertise to mentor and support the personal and career development of PMO and project controls team members.
  • You will integrate project controls with PMO and planning disciplines.
  • You will assist the HUB PMO and project controls director with resourcing and recruitment for your assignments.
  • You will work collaboratively towards achieving net-zero carbon transition goals and take responsibility for identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

  • You will assist the HUB PMO and project controls director with resourcing and recruitment for your assignments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading PMO and project controls on complex construction projects.
  • Experience in establishing effective PMO and project controls services, audit, and assurance frameworks.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of risk management tools, techniques, and software (e.g., MS Office, Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6, RiskHive).
  • Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty regarding solutions or outcomes.
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of opportunities related to data analytics, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and techniques that interface with risk management (e.g., Primavera Risk Analyzer, @risk, Active Risk Manager).
  • Deep domain knowledge in providing PMO and project controls leadership across various sectors (e.g., rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, healthcare).
  • Experience working on both client-side and consultancy roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence others.
  • Proven capability to convey complex information and ideas to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience in managing, influencing, and negotiating with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct in-depth analyses.
  • Experience in creating and delivering persuasive presentations to diverse audiences within the industry.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Membership in RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE, or equivalent professional development.
  • Extensive expertise in property or infrastructure project management.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management experience with large, diverse teams.
  • Experience managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will influence project outcomes.
