About the Role
The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Estates Maintenance Worker to join our team and contribute to the delivery of planned work across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs, minor installations, and maintenance work on a wide range of equipment, services, buildings, and plant.
- Assist maintenance craftsmen and technicians as necessary.
- Utilize Estates documentation to ensure effective and economic issue of spares/materials from Estates Stores.
- Ensure all works comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and current legislation.
- Work within the Department's evolving ISO9001:2000 Quality System framework.
Requirements
- Ability to use a range of tools and equipment.
- Experience of building services/engineering environment.
- Conversant with health and safety issues within a workshop environment.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
- Understanding of ISO9001:2000 or equivalent quality system.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Estates staff and ward/department staff.
- Ability to prioritize.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently.
