This core responsibility serves as the link between operational teams and finance business partners to guarantee accurate revenue recognition accounting and reporting. This encompasses everything from accounting policy documentation and training to SOX control design and operation, along with coordinating month-end revenue accrual and deferral activities and managing external audit requirements.
  • Supporting this function will involve supervising at least one direct report and collaborating with our offshore service provider.
  • Additional duties will include reviewing journal entries and reconciliation activities conducted by junior colleagues and our offshore accounting partners;
  • Understanding, applying, and documenting accounting policies under US GAAP and FRS101;
  • Acting as a primary contact for both internal and external audit teams during statutory and SOX audit activities;
  • Comprehending and completing quarterly and ad-hoc regulatory returns and requests;
  • Engaging in specific FCA CASS5 client money activities, including preparing client money calculation reconciliations and conducting liquidity and cash flow analyses;
  • Assisting in the reconciliation and analysis of the insurance broking ledger;
  • Aiding in the preparation of monthly balance sheet review reports, including KPI analysis of revenue accruals and deferrals;
  • Supporting the broader WTW Financial Controllership function in identifying, designing, and implementing control and process enhancements, particularly through new technology and automation; and,
  • In addition to regular month-end activities, there will be a significant volume of ad-hoc project work, providing opportunities to collaborate with other areas of the WTW Group Finance organization.
