Job Summary

Hays Senior Finance is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Senior to join our Business Services and Outsourcing team in Ipswich. As a Financial Reporting Senior, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality financial reports to our clients, working closely with a range of clients from ambitious entrepreneurial SMEs to large multinational groups across East Anglia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver financial reports on your own portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Be proactive in seeking support from peers and managers when faced with complex issues.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and ensure smooth delivery of financial reports.
  • Be the primary point of contact for your allocated portfolio, providing excellent customer service.
  • Manage the work of more junior team members on your portfolio, including briefings and monitoring of performance.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide ad-hoc accounting assistance and ensure clients receive excellent service.
  • Complete client-take-on procedures for new clients, including preparing engagement letters for manager and partner review.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Solid accountancy experience required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting packages, including Xero, IRIS GP accounts, and Sage (desirable).
  • Experience of working collaboratively in a team to deliver projects.
