Job Title: Financial Reporting Assistant Manager

At Hays Senior Finance, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Assistant Manager to join our Business Services and Outsourcing team in Ipswich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting services to a range of clients, from ambitious entrepreneurial SMEs to large multinational groups across East Anglia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver financial reporting services on your own portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of high-quality reports.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve queries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage the work of more junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of tasks.
  • Work closely with the team to provide ad-hoc accounting assistance and ensure clients receive exceptional service.
  • Complete client-take-on procedures, including preparing engagement letters for manager and partner review.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Solid accountancy experience required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Desirable: experience of working with accounting packages, including Xero, IRIS GP accounts, and Sage.
