Research Scientist in Cancer Immunology with a Focus on Ultrasound-Mediated Immune-Modulation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Associate to join our interdisciplinary research team at the University of Oxford, Department of Engineering Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and performing testing in vitro and in vivo to characterize and optimize the immune-modulatory response elicited by the combination of ultrasound and protein-based particles.
Key Responsibilities- Design and perform experiments to characterize and optimize the immune-modulatory response elicited by the combination of ultrasound and protein-based particles.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers with both physical and life sciences backgrounds to achieve project goals.
- Develop and implement new techniques and methods to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the research.
- Conduct high-dimensional flow cytometry, T cell in vitro functional assays, single cell/bulk RNA sequencing, and spatial biological imaging experiments.
- Work with therapeutic ultrasound, cavitation monitoring, in vivo experimentation, and ultrasound-responsive particles.
- PhD in immunology, cancer biology, biochemistry, or a relevant discipline.
- Considerable post-qualification research experience.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team of researchers with both physical and life sciences backgrounds.
- Strong evidence of research achievement to date.
- Experience with a broad range of immunological techniques.
