Senior Research Scientist in Genomics and Immunology

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our team at the University of Oxford. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for analyzing complex genomic and immunological data to advance our understanding of severe infections.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and integrate -omic and multi-modal datasets to identify patterns and correlations in the human immune response.
- Develop and implement high-resolution pathogen profiling methods using metagenomic data.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement data management and research ethics protocols.
- Conduct individual research and develop research questions within a specific context.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of research activities and results.
- PhD/DPhil in Genetics, Genomics, Statistical Genetics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Post-qualification experience in genomics and data management.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with a proven ability to think critically about scientific analysis.
- Demonstrable interest in the research described and a strong track record of research experience.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 1 September 2025, funded by the Barts Charity. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work with a world-renowned research team.
