About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Oakfield House School, part of Options Autism. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Pupils' Learning: Assist pupils in learning through engaging and educational activities, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Managing Daily Schedules: Coordinate daily activities, including toilet breaks, lunch, and rest time, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Personal Care: Provide feeding, toilet training, and changing services for pupils, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Safeguarding: Uphold the principles of safeguarding to ensure the welfare and protection of pupils.
  • Education Environment: Maintain a safe and hygienic learning environment, adhering to high standards of equipment safety and cleanliness.
  • Pupil Development: Foster pupils' growth, self-esteem, and independence, promoting their overall development.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: GCSE or equivalent in Maths and grade C or above in English or equivalent.
