About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in the Neuro Rehab and General Rehab department at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working in stroke and neuro rehabilitation, either in a training or qualified post. They will be responsible for providing highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy to clients with complex conditions.

The ideal candidate will have post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology. They will also have experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care as a care coordinator within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy to clients with complex conditions.
  • Exercise full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care as a care coordinator within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and implement plans for highly specialist psychological therapy and/or management of clients' mental health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology.
  • Experience of working in stroke and neuro rehabilitation.
  • HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist with Chartered Status.
  • Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees.
