Behaviour Support Specialist

GSL Education is seeking a qualified Behaviour Support professional to join our team at one of our client schools in Rotherham.
The Behaviour Support role is critical in creating a positive and conducive learning environment. The successful candidate will work with students, teachers, and other school staff to manage and improve student behaviour, ensuring that all students can learn effectively and safely.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural needs, developing and implementing behaviour management strategies to promote positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to create a supportive learning environment, fostering strong relationships and open communication.
- Monitor and track student progress, adapting strategies as needed to ensure the overall well-being and academic success of students.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour management plans, working closely with the school's senior leadership team.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in behaviour support and intervention.
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with behavioural challenges, with a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and other school staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students, with a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students and the school.
